Warrigal Volunteer

It’s the best thing I have done, and I’ve made wonderful friends with all the friendly people I get to have a chat and a laugh with.
Narelle Jones: Volunteering at Warrigal gives me a feel-good awareness, a little giving back to our community, they are so appreciative of just a little smile and chat from you.
I gain so much enjoyment and fulfilment from assisting in the café I find it so very satisfying for me personally. I am happy to be a part of are very caring, giving and supportive team. I especially love working in the café with the charitable, big hearted, fun lady Di.
Di Gorman: While having family members in care at Warrigal and using the cafe often after COVID, I learned they had only one person to work there. So I offered my services to assist and prompted me to become a volunteer.
It’s the best thing I have done, and made a wonderful friend in meeting Narelle and all the friendly people I get to have a chat and a laugh with.

“I became interested in volunteering after my mother and father-in-law became Warrigal residents and I would chat with other residents. I could see what a difference it made to their day and how good it made me feel. I just love going home each day knowing I have helped to make a difference in the customer’s lives, no matter how small.”
