Registering for Home Care

Congratulations on taking the initial step toward obtaining additional help at home. Follow these three steps for a smooth entry to access this service:

Register with My Aged Care

Determine your eligibility and assessment call 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.org.au

Assessing Eligibility and Preparing

Once you’ve registered, My Aged Care will assess your eligibility. If approved, you’ll join a national waiting list. Use this time to research, and read more about our services below.

Making Your Choice

Once you’ve been assigned a home care package, you have 56 days to pick a provider. Don’t worry – we’re here to help you every step of the way, offering services tailored just for you.

Your independence matters to us. At Warrigal, our home services are all about giving you the peace of mind to continue enjoying your life at home, just the way you like it.

Whether you could use a hand with your daily tasks or need more comprehensive support to continue living independently, we have a range of home care services designed just for you.

How do I get help at home?

To start the process of receiving assistance at home, you must first undergo an ACAT assessment. To schedule this, you can reach out to the MyAgedCare customer service centre at 1800 200 422 or complete the online form.

It’s best to chat with our friendly team before you proceed. This ensures that you maximise the benefits of your application and don’t miss out on any funding you might be eligible for.

What home support services are available?

We offer a wide range of services you can choose from to ensure all your needs are covered. A few examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Outings and companionship for shopping, club meetings, appointments
  • Home assistance for tasks around the home such as cleaning
  • Accessing equipment and technology for enhanced safety and comfort
  • And much more!
How much will Home Services cost me?

It varies based on the support you need and any government assistance you’re eligible for. How much government funding you get is mostly about what you earn and what you own. That’s where the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) comes into play.
