We know the process can be overwhelming – here’s a good place to start.
Research
At the beginning of seeking services for your loved one, research is crucial to discover the range of services available, their locations, and how to access them. You’ll find a wealth of resources on our website to assist you along the way. Additionally, seeking advice from friends, family, doctors, and medical professionals can provide valuable insights into finding the best fit for their needs.
Service Enquiry
Once you’ve determined the service you’re interested in for your loved one, reach out to our friendly team for guidance on the next steps. In the case of Home Services and Residential Aged Care, this typically involves initiating a complimentary ACAT Assessment, which is government-funded, to assess their eligibility for subsidised aged care services.

This is a great resource established by the Australian Government to help you find and access the right government-funded aged care services. Depending on what service you are intending to access for your loved one, different financial options are available that take into account their financial circumstances.
Residential Care & Home Services
For Residential Aged Care and Home Services, their care can be subsidised by the Australian Government through an aged care package. To access this, they must receive an ACAT Assessment, and how much government funding they get is mostly based on what they earn and what they own. You can read more about Aged Care Funding options at our resource here.
Community Villages
For our Community Villages, Warrigal has a sales process for the purchasing of the villa, townhouse, unit or apartment they are interested in, as well as an ongoing service payment to cover the maintenance and services offered while living in our Community Villages. Talk to our friendly Customer Relations Team about this service, or read more about it here.
If your loved one has decided to move to one of our supportive Residential Aged Care homes, or vibrant Community Villages, this means they will be moving from their home to one of our Warrigal locations.
Moving can be a daunting task at any stage of life, but often in our older years this will mean possibly packing and sorting through many years’ worth of cherished belongings. But don’t stress, they don’t have to part with all of it, and we encourage to them decorate their new place with us in a way that makes them feel at home – because it is their home!
By this stage, your loved one will be settling in to their new Warrigal home! Whether they’re with us for Residential Aged Care, or Community Village, our team goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, connected and supported.
Residential Aged Care
If you have any questions or concerns, you’ll have access to our on-site management team during business hours, and your loved one will have access to 24 hour support from our care staff. They can get involved in fun activities held daily with all meals provided, and you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your loved one is being supported by our expert care staff.
Community Villages
It’s time to sit back and relax as your loved one enjoys their retirement. Our villages are friendly communities of like-minded people, where they can get involved with or organise as many (or as little) activities as they want. If you ever have questions or need assistance, feel free to get in touch with our Village Services Coordinator or Community Facilitator, who is there to help you and your loved one.
Moving here was the best thing that happened to me, I have a community here and they’re all friendly people.
